Cross Cultural Business Development.

Building on over thirty years collectively of international relationship development, GJPI (formerly Greg Johnson Associates) has mastered the cultural imperatives when breaking into new markets, particularly between the United States and those of the ASEAN, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. With an initial focus on tourism and the unity in diversity that is Indonesia, (food, textiles, dance, music, and more) Greg Johnson, founder of GJPI, fostered close relationships with leading businesses in Asia and presented them as trusted partners to American companies for their mutual benefit.

For more than twenty-five years, Gene Johnson, co-founder of GJPI, has applied his degree in chemical engineering to numerous industries, ensuring consumer safety and responsible environmental impact.  Working in Indonesia for multinational corporations including the German pharmaceutical company Merck KgaA; Tetra Pak and Ecolean, both Swedish packaging companies; and American companies Mattel and Ecolab at their California and Minnesota headquarters respectively, to name a few, Gene has developed an ability to lead multi-cultural teams, ensuring positive, desired results.

Knowing the customs of each business interest assures effective communication while respecting diverse cultural traditions and protocols, thereby facilitating a successful outcome.  Utilizing GJPI skills and relying on its expertise, clients can enter new markets quickly and without the financial expense of a satellite office and relocating personnel.

GJPI offers consulting services connecting companies and organizations seeking to develop new markets between “East and West.” We achieve this through a series of initial conversations and listening sessions, facilitating creative explorations to identify the best options and applying a deep understanding of the diversity among potential partners.  In this way, we deliver a strategic action plan that connects clients to the right resources while remaining faithful to the client’s stated goal. For more information or to schedule a free, confidential consultation, contact Greg at gjp-international.com or Gene at gjp-international.com.
